There are many issues that come with representing particular social groups and problems within society. Although this doesn't really apply to mine as heavily as other problems such as drugs. Although I need to be careful of the way I represent the horror genre and paranormal activity in general, as many families have been affected by paranormal things happening in their life and this is very distressing for them, to avoid representing them in a negative way I need to ensure that it isn't offensive by portraying it in a comedy type way.
This is one of the reasons why I chose this genre as it is isn't a massive social problem like something like alcohol problems, as although it does affect people it isn't established as a major problem in society today so I feel that it is much easier to not offend people in this way. Also, the difference between the number of people affected by social problems like this is massive in comparison to paranormal and even if they are affected by it, it is rare to be in a very distressing way.

From this I have research you can see how even something like equality is portrayed the best in the horror genre, although my trailer doesn't include any women there would be in the full film. The reason the main character is male as it is the stereotype for men to be an explorer over women and although that is a negative representation of my trailer I do not feel that it drastic enough to change the plot of the film.
In summary I will need to think very carefully in the way I address this problem, although it should be fine as long I do not portray it in a comedy way which I will make that I do not do this.
