Props
Props are very important in making my trailer seem more realistic, despite this there will not be many props actually used because when filming our trailer as the majority of it will be exploring and this does not require many props.
Torches - these are used along with the light panel to make it more realistic and create even more light as it will be quite hard to film in the dark, but also follows the forms and conventions of explorers to have this piece of equipment.
Trophy - this is what is used when Jack collects his award, this is my trophy from Football and it was hard to find one without a football on and I feel that this is the best one to use as it doesn't really look like a football trophy. This will make the scene seem much more realistic than it would be if you could clearly see a football on there.
Clothing
First scene - in the first scene as it will be filmed at school he will be wearing his sixth form clothing, although this works in my favour as it is smart but casual, which I feel can be worn to these type of events. Almost the same as you can see in this example. He will also be wearing his ryde academy student lanyard, this is good because from far away this can look like an access pass to the event which gives it a more realistic feel.
Second scene - for these scenes of Jack exploring he will be wearing the same clothing, this will be a rain type coat and a baseball cap. This clearly follows the forms and conventions of an explorer. You can see this from the image of Bear Grylls who is also an explorer type person.
Without these two things being perfect than the whole trailer could seem really tacky so planning this out enhances the professionalism and realism of the trailer. It also makes it much easier for the audience to understand the narrative which is very important in any trailer or story.
